Stop Motion

We got a new camera it is really cool.

I have been using it to make a stop motion animation project with my Lego's. It is really awesome. I took  over 600 still photos. 

It takes a long time but in the end it looks really cool.

Homeschool Swimming

Every Thursday I go to Garrett College to swim with my friends. It is really fun!

There is a big pool and a smaller warm pool. The warm pool has jets that you can turn on and off.

We swim from 10:30 to 12:00. Thats a lot of swimming!

Trip to The Smithsonian

My mom and I took a trip to Washington D.C. We took the train to Union Station, from there we took   the Metro to the Smithsonian.

We went to the American History Museum. There was this cool exhibit called The Price of Freedom. It was about all the wars that America has fought in. They had sections about The French and Indian War, The American Revolution, The War of 1812, The Indian Wars, The Civil War, World War I,             World War II, The Korean War, The Vietnam War, and all the modern wars. Then they had a section about all the different medals of honor.

 Then we went to The Folger Shakespeare Library to see a performance of Othello. I had been reading and studying it. The play was very well performed

New Lego Train!

I just got a new lego Maersk train!

It has a removable cab and a detailed sixteen cylinder engine!

You can also buy a lego power function motor to motorize your train and tracks for it to run on!

It also has three containers, one of them has a built in refrigeration unit!

 Also it features a loading truck with a detachable trailer for loading and offloading containers!

Tutoring George

      

Every Monday I help my mom tutor my friend George.

Last session I read him two chapters out of Wayside School is Falling Down by Lois Sachar.

My mom tutors him in reading and writing.

Birds of Prey Demonstration at the Discovery Center

I went to the Discovery Center for a demonstration about birds of prey.

This ^ is a barred owl.

It was found in snow bank by a plow truck driver.

It is partially blind!

This ^ is a red tailed hawk

It has an amputated wing!

                                                                     It is partially blind!

    All these birds were hit by cars. They can never go back to the wild.

                                 PLEASE don't throw food out of your cars, even biodegradable food can attract animals, witch attract birds, witch get hit by cars.

Trip to DC

My mother and I took a trip to Washington D.C. We went to the Museum of Natural History

We went to an exhibit with hundreds of gems and minerals in it.
